Tori P. 7th Hour
I walked into class just like every other day but today was a little different because we had a sub and there wasn't just one paper on the table but two, yes you heard me right two papers on the table to pick up. I picked up the papers and went to my desk. I began to look over the papers to see what the task was today when i was interupted by the sub explaining that this assignment was due at the end of the period. We all froze in our tracks then some students began to complain. Some students didn't want to do the assignment while others figured they might as well work on it. At the begining of class there was a lot of side talking but by the end everyone was very quite and all you could hear was the sound of pencils moving swiftly across the paper. Most of the people in class finished with time left but others it took the whole hour or should i say half hour. When i finished i looked at the clock to see that we still had five minutes left till the weekend. Finally i heard the noise i had been waiting for and it was time for the weekend.

With a three day weekend on everyone's mind, this Thursday's class period went by very fast. And considering it was a half day, rightfully so. This short class period started off with a substitute teacher, Ms. Best. After handing out and explaining the assignment, she said nothing else; until the end of the class period. It was at this time that she desired to convey to the class that we were one of the best classes she has had at FHC in a long time. Whether is was because we were all tired, mourning, or simply just an amazing class, none of us could really tell you. With only being assigned a simple reading and writing assignment, it makes this round of scribe notes quite difficult for me. I regret to confess that I am turning in these scribe notes late. I had written down my scribe notes day in my planner, yes, but the somberness and unfortunate events of the day led me to completely forget about school in general. With the absolutely tragic loss of Central's own young veteran, I find it easy to convince myself that on this day, i was not the only one this distraught.
