Jordan Parisi 1st Hour As I walked into the classroom I saw that we had a sub, Mr. Owensby to be specific. This brightened up the usual dim monday morning as classes with subs are usually laid back, letting you take your time and do your own thing somewhat. I had also had Mr. Owensby as a sub many times and he is a nice guy who tries to give aid if asked. Soon after the attendance was taken we were given our assignment, quotations and analysis of Canto IV of Dante's "Inferno". As I looked over the passage I could not helped but to be impressed by the writing. Living in the Middle Ages, specifically in the Western half of Europe, one did not have the best education in the world. For someone to be able to create a story that is not only extremely creative but also on a terza rima scale is remarkable. Even if it was to come out today I feel it would still impress many. The reading was quite interesting, being able to see a person's thoughts who lived so far back in time is eye opening. While doing our assignment I couldn't help but do my usual routine of zoning out every once in a while, looking around the class it seemed like for the most part i wasn't the only one struggling to keep focus. Time drags on and on, the clock never seems to move until finally the morning announcements come on, as usual they are pretty meaningless, as a matter of fact i cannot remember what they are about. Than after the long hour, the annoying, yet bliss sound of the bell rings out, and almost in a pavlov's fashion, the classroom is emptied.
