I walk into class expecting to have a class discussion over the final section of 194, with dread on my shoulders because of the end. To my suprise, I walk in and see a substitute. I look around and watch as students walk in the door, some looking filled with relief when seeing a substitute because they clearly aren't prepared for today's discussion. The bell rings, class begins. Amongst other students they're talking about the end of the book, "I wanted him to get eatin' by rats!" said Justin. Others repeatedly saying, "I hated it! Then to my dismay, I realize that i had walked past a worksheet I was supposed to swoop up. I pick it up, read it as I walk back to my desk, group discussion. The worksheet lists two discussion questions that we didn't understand that we can discuss in groups. Our groups attempt to assemble, and various people run around circling to find their group number. We get into our groups and discuss. I look around a few groups veer off topic. Then i hear a strong argument between Markie and Justin on whether Winston died or not. Browsing other groups a few people seem to be completely engaged in the group discussion, others popular technology device; cough: cellphone. A few tap on the desk making boom-chicka-pow sound affects to entertain themselves. The arguement on whether Winston dies all to seriously. I gaze at the clock, thank gosh it's early release: 10 more minutes. So I continue to work on my worksheet, still confused about the book but hoping to pass by the time. Everyone starts packing up, seven minutes before the bell rings, and three minutes later everyone is lined up by the door. The bell rings, and everyone disperses for freedom'
