Jessica D., 7th hour
Scribe notes
For today being a typical Wednesday, I been thinking all that today was half-day but it was just a plain early release day. As I walked into 7th hour and looked around noticing that the students were piling in and taking their seats waiting anxiously to know what we’re doing today for class. When the bell ring Mr. Becker told the class to get out our packets from yesterday because he wanted to explain how the points would work and how to use the proper MLA style so we would not get points taken off. Then he went on showing a demonstration on how to use Microsoft word and how to set up MLA style format so we won’t get points taken off our first draft or final copy. As for the student behind me well she couldn’t help but hiccup most of the hour and people were kind enough not to embarrass her of that. Meanwhile while Mr. Becker keeps reminding the students that don’t forget to do your work cited and it has to be on the same document as your essay. He said that everyone should jot down this piece of information on how to do a page break and you make sure your curser is set up in the right place before you hit control and enter in order to get a page break. And went explaining how to do a header and position it should be in the far right corner of your page. In addition, he informs us about the half sheet of paper that everyone should have picked up at the beginning of class to inform us how to do our work cited correctly so we don’t keep making mistakes and to make sure to take our time doing it. Then he asked the students do you have any questions? He also, says to the class do you know why we use work cited an some of the students said, so we don’t take credit for that persons work….then he says is to show us the original work from where it came from something along those lines. As he finished talking to the class the students started to pull out there notebooks and went on to work on their essays as they were busy working the room was so quiet except for Mr. Becker he’s going around and talking to students briefly and giving them pointers on to make their topic sentences fluent with their thesis statement or clarifying any other questions that the students have about their essay. In the last five minutes of class I notice that start looking at the clock some of my fellow classmates starting packing up their belongings because there to get out of here and enjoy the nice weather an there freedom for the rest of the day.

1st Hour
Upon entering the classroom to begin first hour I had an unusual sense of alertness. I'm unsure whether it was the coco puffs I had eaten for breakfast, or the near fender bender I had avoided just minutes before, but I was completely awake. I then take my seat and allow my mind to wander while waiting for the bell to ring and for class to start. After about a minute of thinking of random unimportant things, my mind was jerked back into reality by the obnoxious sound of the bell.
Unaware that today was to be my day for writing scribe notes I didn't pay any special attention to what was happening until about halfway through the hour. I then begin to formulate my plan of attack towards completing this paper. After what seems like only a couple of minutes, I look at the clock showing ten minutes remaining of first hour. In a frantic rush I did my best to advance in the production of my essay over 1984, but could not succeed in constructing a intelligent first body paragraph. Once I realize all hope is lost, I return to my daydreaming for the remaining of the last few minutes of class. While leaving the classroom, I can't help but feeling a sense of worthlessness for completing nothing in the hour I was given.
