Becker 7th hour

As my tiring day went on from first to sixth hour there was one more
class left... Becker's.. DUN DUN DUN! we had our group dicussion like most days except today
was different. We had to write down our thoughts about how Winston and Julia differ in
their rebellious attitudes. as we started the discussion hands flew up in the air and of course
Markie's was the first. As i look around the room I see people tapping their feet, biting their
nails and even people scratching their forheads looking like their confused. As more people
the more Becker marks off on his list or his attendace sheet you can call it. Maybe he
still does'nt know people's names. As Becker poked his pencil in his shoe and scratched his
foot the less people payed attention. So many people have different thoughts about the book
were reading. After every comment that was made Becker would shake his head acting like
he does'nt know what hapens even though he's read the book many times before. Also there
are always those one quiet people who never speak at any disscussions, one day I hope one
day we can all talk together because I know many of us have the same confusions on the book.
At least it's early release because I don't know how many more people can keep their head up.
Ahh.. how this class is relaxing, and may i add how funny it is when you actually pay
attention to one's exact moves.

Taylor W., 3rd hour
Today i walked into class and Nick was playing with his yo-yo. As i went to sit down Mr. Becker reminded me that today was my day to do the scribe notes. The first thing we did was that we either had to take out our responses or a blank piece of paper. We then answered a prethinking question to help us start our discussion for the day. After answering the question and letting people say how they thought, we decided that this section was mainly about Julia. Mr. Becker started the discussion about Julia and the party. We all agreed that the difference between Winston and Julia is that Winston is searching for somehting bigger and wants to change everything, while Julia only wants to change what she does and shes very blunt. I thought it was funny how Ian compared Julia to batman and how she was the hero. Another thing we discussed is that Winston cares more about the history than Julia does. We figured this was because of Julias age and her job has nothing to do with whats going on, but on the other hand Winston cares more about the history because he's the one having to change it. The next thing we discussed is how Mr. Charrington could possibly be a threat to Winston and Julia because he's starting to act sketchy. The last thing we discussed before the bell rang is how Winston thinks O'brien is on his side and not towards the party but really he isn't. We turned in our responses and got the section we had to read.

As i stumbled in to first hour i thought to myself "self i don't really like school that much and i want to go to tech school".i finally sat down and took a big swig out of my 44oz cherry coke and realized that we had a discussion today.ugh i hate discussions.i wish i could just go work on cars already. i felt like i was wasting my life with English class but then it came to me that i had to take this class to pass so I'm just going to make the best of it.So then we talked about how in 1984 Winston meets this chick and hangout with her and they both really don't like the government. so then we discussed how America is soo much like this book.I looked at the clock and realized it is early release and the bells is going to ring in one minute. so the bell rung and everyone piled up
