Dillon H. 3rd hour. Everyone enters class and picks up the two sheets that were at the door as you walked down and proceeded to sit down. The bell rang and we await Mr. Becker to start. He begins by telling is that we will discuss the introduction of our essays and what it should look like. Mr. Becker then couldn't seem to find one of his slides and asks "where are you" with Nick adding "I'm right here". We start the powerpoint with how we should start the essay followed by the do nots. Then we discussed good hook topics and the not so good topics. After we got done talking about the introductions. We start talking about body paragraphs. Mr. Becker explains what needs to be in them and how they should flow. Then we go on to what the conclusion should look like by starting with the thesis and and working your way down. We finish up with all the essay information and then go over the half sheet that we picked up that discusses what needs to be on the first draft, not a rough draft which Mr. Becker explained. He then tells us that he needs a paper 8.5 X 11 with black ink the day we turn it in, not an email or anything else. He finished talking and then allows us to work on writing our papers for the rest of class. Everyone seemed to work for a few minutes then ended up chatting until the bell rang and everyone went on to their next hour.

so i walked into class and sat down like any ordinary day when suddenly i was reminded about my dreadful duty of scribe notes. mr becker started the class talking about the much anticipated 1984 essay that we still must write and will most likely be procrastinated by most of us until the last day of fall break. mr becker started by elaborating about the basic construction of the intro of our essays on what to and not to do. he gave us a good amount of examples as what to use as our hook in our introduction of our essay. by the end of his rant i noticed half of the class sleeping or day dreaming. he kept on with speaking about body and conclusion paragraphs to wrap it all up. then... i got caught with my cell phone, my bad. Then when we thought it was all done he had one last topic to address, the rough draft. in the middle of that talk charles also got caught with his phone out also and mr becker the stated that the next person gets a detention! then mr becker gets ragged on for is obsession for the book and his shirts he wears which was pretty funny. it took up the rest of the hour of talking and then had 5 min. left and then we left.
