Today turned out to be like any other Monday. I walked in class and found Justin eating yet another disgusting looking creation he had made the hour before. I sat in my chair debating what to do about these scribes, announcing to the class how nervous I was. As I’m sitting in class Mr. Becker gives us a friendly reminder about our Response writing as well as the connections assignment. While Mr. Becker is doing so EEK he suddenly realizes that we were supposed to have one presented to us today. Once those words had come out of his mouth a sudden rush of joy had filled my entire body. I had thought to myself, YAY now I have something to write about for tonight. Then Mr.Beckers voice yet again, “no presentation today, well Read on, Write on!” .What, a, bummer. So, that’s exactly what I did. While reading I would occasionally look up to observe my fellow classmates. I had looked to my right and only saw half of the people with there nose in books while the others had been doing other class work or just blankly staring at the wall, Hey I can’t blame um, I mean it is seventh hour, or they could, of course had their reading done already. While I was thinking I had stopped and realized my reading wasn’t even done! So, I kept at it. Then all of a sudden a fairly loud noise had come from Mr. Becker’s pocket. With his face slightly red all eyes were drawn toward him. Only for a response of “sorry went off in my pocket.” So we went on reading and reading and reading. The door flings open and it’s someone with a pass. Everyone looks hoping they can get out of class, and then we all realize it’s for me. Mr. Becker gallops over to my desk and commands me that this day is my duty to inform my peers who have missed what had gone on, but it was indeed my choice, I chose to stay. I had looked up at the clock and at 2:12 Mr. Becker decides to do some more note cards. As I sat eagerly awaiting my turn, hoping he calls my card. I hear Amazon Parrots, and immediately sit down. Then I hear “I am seventeen” shamefully standing up dreaming I was the few eighteen year olds still sitting down knowing that they were feeling somewhat superior for their age. Then I’m quickly back in my chair again, No I do not play tetras with my little sister online! We laughed for awhile while discovering Saucy Bossy’s other unique qualities. As the few minutes of class remained I had looked on the back wall at my competition hoping that today would be my day to get a little dinosaur sticker.
