The infamous 1 minute bell rings and everyone rushes to class, as everyone sits in their seats awaiting for Mr. Becker to start. People chat for a while talking about random things untill Mr. Becker interupts and begins class. We start by reviewing over the discussions we had yesterday and adding anything we left out. As we discuss, some confusion sets in about all the different things going on in the book. We read part of page 16 and talk about what happend and how crazy Winston is, as Randy ads he probably has 40 years of sexual tension built up. We go on to talk about Winston and then end the discussion over that. Mr. Becker then hands out an article over the privacy of people that we must read about, which is called Is Anything Private Anymore? The article was mainly about how technology and what the government can do creates minimal privacy. Mr. Becker stops us and puts us into groups to discuss the differences of the book and the article's thought of privacy. When we get in the group, we play "nose goes" to see who is the writer of the group and after 3 tries Chris ends up loosing the battle. We discuss, having hard troubles with our our wording, getting side-tracked with talking about Google Earth. As we get done with group work everyone stands around class talking about numerous things awaiting for the bell to ring. The bell rings and everyone leaves for 4th hour.
Shelly H.,1st hour:
Yesterday morning I gimped in Mr. Becker's first hour as usual. As I struggled to my desk I noticed a piece of paper that read, "scribe notes" on Roberts desk. Thats when it hit me. It was my turn. Shortly after I sat down, Mr. Becker started class. As we went over the five questions on the board we talked how Mr. Becker roommate had the power ot willingly forget things. Well it seems I have somehow aquired the same power. I totally forgot to take notes for my scribe notes until I was thankfully reminded by our wonderful teacher. The only downside was that we were already half way through class. At this point in the hour we were reading, "Is anything private anymore?" All the groups were making very little noise. The sound to disturb the quiet was the office bell. The entire class silently wish for there name to be called to the office, but the lucky one was Drake. After that I glanced at the clock hoping it was my time to leave. To my surprise it was five till (which was when I get to leave because I have to hop along on crutches!) After that all I could wonder was, what did happened in that last five minutes of class?
